4-Ton Split System and 6-Ton Package Unit

We are pleased to share our recent HVAC installation project at a local church in Williamsburg, VA. The project involved installing a 4-ton split system and a 6-ton package unit to ensure optimal climate control throughout the church facility, including the education wing and kitchen. 

Scope for 4-Ton Split System

  • Remove and dispose of the existing Heat Pump, Air Handling Unit, refrigerant, and oil per EPA standards.
  • Supply a crane to lift the old unit off the roof and lift the new unit onto the roof.
  • Supply and install a new, Carrier 4-ton Heat Pump and Air Handling Unit. Set the new unit onto the existing wood supports located on the roof and install a new 10 KW electrical heat strip.
  • Connect to the existing ductwork, smoke alarm, electrical, fused disconnect, thermostat, control wiring, and condensate piping.
  • Start the system and check for proper operation. 

Scope for 6-Ton Package Unit 

  • Remove and dispose of the existing package unit, refrigerant, and oil per EPA standards.
  • Supply a crane to lift the old unit off the roof and to lift the new unit onto the roof.
  • Supply and install a new, York 6-ton package unit to replace the existing. Set the new unit onto the existing roof curb and install a fresh air economizer.
  • Connect to the existing ductwork, smoke alarm, electrical, fused disconnect, thermostat, control wiring, and condensate piping.
  • Start the unit and check for proper operation.

With this strategically designed system, the church can enjoy year-round comfort for all activities and services. This combination optimizes comfort and promotes energy efficiency, leading to lower utility costs for the church.
