ELECTRICAL

FEW THINGS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN A PROPERLY FUNCTIONING ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FOR SAFETY, COST SAVINGS, AND EFFICIENCY.

ELECTRICAL COMPIANCE AND SAFETY CAN BE OVERWHELMING

You are committed to providing your building occupants with a safe, reliable workspace. Staying up to code and in compliance with local and national electrical regulations pose a challenge to many building owners and facility managers.

    Committed to safety

We follow NFPA 70 E & OSHA guidelines to ensure safe work practices, protect personnel, and reduce exposure to electrical hazards.

    Put us in charge

Our expert electrical technicians train in the most extensive technical and safety procedures to ensure your project has the utmost quality and care and is compliant with regulations.

From switch gears and lighting upgrades to transformers and adding panels and circuits, Cox-Powell’s trained professionals can help with any electrical job—large or small.

“Cox-Powell was professional and on top of the entire electrical side in our project. To the best of my knowledge, there was one disconnect that had to be moved due to a change in location of a control box. I believe that was the only rework involved on the electrical side. In my humble opinion, that is a big success.”

400-AMP SERVICE UPGRADED TO 1000-AMP SERVICE

Designed and installed a new 1000-amp, 120/208-volt, 3-phase, 4-wire electrical service to replace the existing 400-amp service. The customer needed the upgrade for their new air-conditioning load. Included in the project were three 225-amp sub-fed panels and all branch circuitry required for the 17 new rooftop units.

      R & D AND LIGHT SOAK RELOCATION

We assisted in designing, engineering, and installing HVAC and electrical for a 45,000-square-foot shell building. This move included all equipment rigging, nitrogen piping, de-ionized water, chilled water, control cabinets, and programmable logic controller (PLC) panels.

We installed one hundred feet of high-pressure gas lines, control units, and ventilation for the gas bunkers adjacent to the building. Electrical service included a 4000-amp switchgear, a 300-amp bus-way, electrical panels, underground conduits, wiring, and parking pole lighting.
